Cholesterol, and a Water Intake Calculator
Why managing your lipids is one of the biggest levers for longevity — plus a free water-intake calculator I built.
The one about Cholesterol and Water Intake
Hi there! I apologize for being away these past two weeks. I didn’t want to write just anything and was working on two new projects that I will share with you now.
If you have any recommendations, questions, feedback, feel free to reply to this e-mail.
Yes, we are talking about cholesterol again
Inspired by Peter Attia’s (now outdated) blog series on cholesterol, I decided to write my own and the first part is out now.
Understanding cholesterol and how to manage your lipid profile is one of the most important things for longevity and cardiovascular health. As you may know, heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of death worldwide — and they are preventable.
When part 2 comes out, I will let you know, of course.
Also, if you haven’t checked my two videos on cholesterol, here they are: FIRSTand TWO.
Water Intake Calculator
Water intake is often neglected. We don’t always realize how important water is for every function in our body — thinking, building muscle, burning fat, digesting food, eliminating toxins, and literally thousands (if not millions) of other processes.
Even so, it’s common to underestimate how much water we actually need. And while there are some calculators online, I felt most were incomplete.
So I gathered all the data I could find and developed my own calculator, which you can find here.
My open diary
As I mentioned in my previous e-mail, I am remaking my website and posting all the past newsletter issues there, as well as new posts like the Cholesterol Guide. However, I don’t have enough content yet to populate the new design. So hang in there!
I also wanted to share that creating videos for Instagramhas been very tricky and I’ll be pivoting the type of content a little to try new things. It has been working great on Tiktokand YouTube Shorts. But Instagram’s algorithm is not the best right now to reach my own audience. There are pros and cons to that. So we will try to leverage the pros more, especially since 20% of the views I get are from followers and 80% from non followers. Out of 6000+ followers, some videos were shown to only 5% of them! It’s crazy.
Finally, as much as I enjoy creating short form content, it’s also time to go back to long form videos (which I like even more). So stay tuned!
